What a remarkable world we live in. This is a gift like no other but I do think one needs to be very careful with how much you invite the donor family into your life. Not everyone is mentally prepared for this. For example, if my mother were the mother of the donor she would have felt entitled to be part of his life and would have caused them heartache and trouble. Baby steps would be the way to go for sure.
